Overforce Studios[]

Overforce Studios (Formally known as The Overforce Channel) or simply "Overforce" is the name of the label used for the joint (or sometimes seperate) productions of Television Shows and Movies that the two founders create. Founded in May of 2013 as The Overforce Channel, the Overforce brand has been used under hundreds of different shows and movies over the years, most of which becoming lost media due to their age. Most substantial Overforce projects from 2016 onwards are preserved in the official Overforce cloud server along with various extra content. Originally, Overforce released films and shows exclusively on DVDs from 2013-2016 but as of 2015 onward, leaned more into streaming and fully stopped DVD productions in 2016. In 2019, Overforce returned to releasing their most popular shows and TV shows on DVD complete with special features and box art and most new releases see a DVD release as well as some more classics every now and then. Overforce also released two books with no else in sight and experimented in """Video Games""" briefly.

History[]

OVERFORCE LOGO

Overforce Logo in 2017-2018

From 2010-2013, the soon-to-be founders of Overforce were fond of YouTube machinimas featuring plushies of various video game characters such as Super Mario and Sonic The Hedgehog, franchises the founders were big fans of at the time.

Founding[]

In May of 2013, the founder began to film the very first Overforce show, Baby Luigi VS The Overforce. This kickstarted more and more shows being created by the two. Some early examples being "Sonic The Hedgehog", "Sonic Adventure", "Mario & Luigi", "Baby Mario & Luigi VS The Overforce", "Luigi And Friends", "Super Mario Bros. Mix", and "A Day in the Life of Mario and Luigi". The name used under these productions was initially The Overforce Channel. Most releases would be direct-to-DVD which allowed them to survive the first purge that deleted all pre-2015 Overforce content.

Notable Projects[]

Overforce's flagship series is Baby Luigi VS The Overforce, which serves as the main heart of the various shows and movies that are connected in the vast shared continuity. Ironically, "Baby Luigi" didn't see much importance until its reboot in 2016 that kickstarted the shared continuity between shows but even in the beginning, Baby Luigi was seen as the main mascot for the studio. Overforce's first feature-length film was Super Mario Bros. Mix in 2013. It was the first movie to also be fully edited with music and credits. "Sonic The Hedgehog" was the de-facto Sonic show in 2013 until it was lost and soon rebooted as Sonic Plush Series in 2015. WWL is possibly Overforce's most recognizable property that started in 2015 and ended in 2017 with an iconic final season. The show also had 4 feature-length films, one of which being the catalyst for the shared continuity concept that was prevalent in 2017-2018, The Oververse Saga. FNAP and Dragon Plush Z are most notable for having the highest episode counts out of any Overforce show and of the first to follow a serialized episode format. The Oververse Saga was a massive event in nearly all major Overforce franchises similar to crossover events in comic books that culminated in the Oververse movie trilogy that soft-rebooted the main canon. The Project Series became Overforce's big leap into live-action movies. The film series originally started with Project Batman in 2016 but has now expanded into a variety of super-hero movies and beyond. The Project Series became Overforce's main focus from 2019 onwards and is still going on today.

Name[]

Initially, The Overforce Channel was the name used for all Overforce productions from 2013 onwards but around 2017, was officially changed to Overforce Studios, or simply just Overforce. 2019 was the last time the term "Overforce Channel" was used in the new DVD releases of old shows that were produced under that name.

Future of Overforce[]

Putting it's main focus on live-action films, Overforce is mostly a dormant studio, releasing 1-2 movies a year since 2019 and rarely releasing any TV shows. In 2023 for the 10th anniversary, Baby Luigi VS The Overforce got re-released on DVD with remastered director's cut episodes and The Tails Show saw a brand new batch of episodes as well. There are talks of a new Oververse-esque movie being released sometime in 2023 but isn't likely.

Trivia[]

The first official logo for Overforce Studios was created on October 27th, 2017 which is coincidentally the same day that the album Pacific Daydream by Weezer and the film Jigsaw was released.
